What does «colores aditivos» mean in Spanish?
- There are two types or classes of mixtures, those made by mixing light colors or colored lights, which we call additive mixtures, and those made with coloring matters, known as subtractive mixtures. The additive system combines light to produce a chromatic range. The additive reproduction process generally uses red, green and blue light (RGB model or RGB color space) to produce the rest of the colors: red, green and blue are the primary additive colors. Similar amounts of all three give rise to white light. When two equal amounts of primary additive colors are mixed, the complementary colors cyan, magenta or yellow are produced. Varying the intensity of each colored light eventually reveals the full spectrum of these three lights.
