- The name given to a bovine or equine animal whose neck and ribs are of a different color from the back, belly and part of the haunches. It is compared to the skunk.
♦ Used in: Argentina - Paraguay - Uruguay - Mammal with an elongated body that can measure between 50 and 80 cm in length; it has an elongated head, soft fur; its body is crossed by long white strips or bands and the rest of the body is black or colored. It lives in forests, is nocturnal and carnivorous. When it feels threatened, it emits a strong and foul odor. Other common names: añas, chingue, chingüe, yeguré, yeguarizo, zorrillo or zorrino.
