What does «ciprés» mean in Spanish?
- Tree of the Cupressaceae family, evergreen, with straight trunk, erect branches, thick and conical crown, small persistent and greenish-black leaves, terminal yellowish flowers and fruits in globules. About 120 species are known. The Italian cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) is used as an ornamental plant and often adorns cemeteries. According to legend, part of the cross of Christ was made from the wood of this tree.
