What does «ulmo» mean in Spanish?
- A corpulent tree, up to 40 m tall, with evergreen leaves and white flowers; the bark is used for tanning. Also known as Chiloé oak and glanders. Its flowers are used by bees to make honey that is sold as "ulmo honey". Its wood is clear, heavy, hard and highly resistant to decay; it is used for construction and as firewood.
