What does «sacre» mean in Spanish?
- A bird of prey, very similar to the black-bellied warbler (Falco rusticolus), from which it differs in having blond plumage. It inhabits eastern Europe, northern and eastern Africa and Asia Minor. Its length ranges from 47 to 55 cm and a wingspan of between 105 and 129 cm. The female is larger. It feeds on birds, even larger than this one.
- An ancient artillery piece that fired four to six pound bullets. It was a quarter culebrina. The sacre weighed about 25 quintals and its length was 34 calibers.
