What does «población flotante» mean in Spanish?
- Population that is passing through a locality and that constantly varies with the arrival and departure of travelers, contributing to increase with its presence the de facto population. This concept has been of interest in statistics in recent times; in the past it was not taken into account in studies. This caused problems in areas of urban expansion and in tourist areas because it did not take into account the real movement of people.
