What does «pecado de comisión» mean in Spanish?
- An act, word or desire that is forbidden by God's Law. Examples of biblical sins of commission: David's adultery with Bathsheba, idol worship, Achan's thefts at Jericho. Contrast with the sin of omission: not doing what one knows one is supposed to do. According to Christianity, every sin involves the performance of a disorderly voluntary act. If this translates into an action, it is called a sin of commission; on the contrary, if the voluntary act translates into omitting something due, it is called a sin of omission.
Examples of use in Spanish: "los pecados de comisión son los pensamientos y acciones que rompen los mandamientos de Dios".
"el que hace lo que no quiere hacer y sabe que es malo realiza un pecado de comisión".
"cualquiera que rompe los mandamientos de Dios o no sigue sus palabras es culpable de cometer un pecado de comisión".
