What does «objeto antinómico» mean in Spanish?
- Antinomy means, in a general sense, paradox or irresolvable contradiction. It is used in logic and epistemology. In logic, the existence of two contradictory statements about an object, with equally convincing logical foundation is called an antinomy. Some antinomies were raised by Zeno, ancient Greek philosopher (ca. 490-430 BC): the so-called Achilles' aporia, one of them.
