What does «granulación» mean in Spanish?
- Fragmentation into grains. Granulating action.
- Set of grains of a thing.
- Granules that can be found in the protoplasm of cells. Susceptible to staining using dyes.
- Granulation tissue. Formation or proliferation of small fleshy, pink, soft and usually rounded masses on the surface of wounds as a healing process. As the lesion ages, the fibrous tissue collagenizes, forming a wall around the lesion. This granulation process is a response to chronic inflammation and allows blocking the irritant and achieving tissue repair when the irritant is removed.
- An effect visible when viewing the photosphere of the Sun, caused by columns of gases rising from the lower, hot layers into the atmosphere. The solar photosphere is not smooth but has a granular structure, which is called granulation, especially at the edges and not so much in the center. Each moving granule has apparent dimensions of 500 and 1,500 km, and has a short lifetime.
