What does «flambear» mean in Spanish?
- Cooking method that consists of burning the alcohol with which a food was previously sprinkled. In this way, a particular flavor, aroma and appearance are achieved. This technique was discovered in the city of Monte Carlo in 1895, when the waiter Henri Carpentier lit the pan of crepes for the future King Edward VII of the United Kingdom; thus he discovered this method to burn a sauce.
