What does «chacalín» mean in Spanish?
- A variety of small freshwater and saltwater shrimp, edible. They are found under rocks. They are prepared in marinade and broth; they are also known as chacales. A net called chacalmata is used for fishing these crustaceans. Scientific name: Macrobrachium spp.
