What does «censo de hecho» mean in Spanish?
- It is a methodology for censusing the population where the data obtained are those of the people who are present at that moment in the households being censused, including those who do not usually reside in that household, but spent the night there. It contrasts with the de jure census, where data are obtained from those persons who usually reside in the household, even if they are not present at the time of the survey. The de jure census is usually carried out over several days, while the de facto census must be done in a single day to avoid duplication.
