What does «caramillo» mean in Spanish?
- Reed flute. Country musical instrument, of the aeolian type and sweet sound. It is formed by fifteen or twenty tubes of cañabrava or wild cane, cut of diverse heights (of about 20 to 25 centimeters) and located from greater to smaller, and a decreasing diameter as well. They are joined with a string and one, two or even three crossed sticks that hold the tubes firmly together. The instrument is played by passing the mouth quickly through the tubes, blowing into them, which are arranged according to notes of the musical scale, and each note with one or two sharps.
