What does «bioelectrónica» mean in Spanish?
- Part of molecular biology that studies the electrostatic forces that occur between molecules in cells.
- Conventional name for the pseudoscientific study of the communication of man and some animals with other beings of the same species located at a considerable distance, by means of the use of supposed waves provisionally called "bioelectronic" by analogy with the electromagnetic waves common in radio broadcasting. Therefore, the phenomena of exploration and intercommunication observed in bats and dolphins do not belong to the field of bioelectronics, since they are satisfactorily explained on the basis of ultrasounds. On the other hand, everything related to the enigmatic telepathic communications, the tuning of one mind to another without any sensitive signal, the alleged transmission of thought and, in general, the remote control of the actions of living beings and even of electronic mechanisms, apparently by means of a mere intentional or volitional attitude, falls squarely in the field of this pseudoscience.
