What does «aboyar» mean in Spanish?
- Putting buoys in rivers, canals, etc.
- In Nautical, to attach buoys to a vessel or submerged object to know its location; to mark with buoys. A submerged object is attached to one end of the line and a floating object (buoy) is attached to the other end to indicate where it is submerged.
Examples of use in Spanish: "La entrada es muy peligrosa y en caso de tomar puerto conviene aboyar antes la roca que existe en el centro del canal".
- Buoying or keeping an object afloat in the water using buoys.
