What does «usuta» mean in Spanish?
- Ojota, a type of sandal used by the Andean Indians. It has a leather or vegetable fiber platform with two or three straps or straps that are tied to the foot. Originally the straps were made of wool, leather or vegetable fiber, nowadays there are also plastic straps. The term usuta is also used as a synonym for most of the open footwear used in the Andean area, so sometimes other types of footwear such as the abarca or shukuy, the chápito and the llanke are also called this way, although each one has its particularities.
