What does «patagua» mean in Spanish?

Tree from and Argentina, light white wood used in carpentry. Also known as pitra. Its fruit is edible, more bitter than that of the myrtle. It grows in groups (pitrantos) in humid, swampy or flooded areas. It reaches 12 m in height.
