What does «monosílabo» mean in Spanish?
- The word that consists of only one syllable. The RAE indicated (year 2010) that monosyllables should never be accented, except in cases of diacritical accent such as "él" (personal pronoun) and "el" (masculine article) to distinguish them.
Examples of use in Spanish: "el monosílabo guion ya no debe tildarse según la actual Ortografía de la lengua española (2010)".
