What does «isotrópico» mean in Spanish?
- Said of bodies with isotropy properties: bodies or media whose physical properties are identical in all directions. Therefore, if physical quantities such as electrical and thermal conductivity, expansion, etc., are measured, they will not depend on direction. Anisotropy, on the other hand, is used to describe situations in which properties vary systematically, depending on the direction.
Examples of use in Spanish: "el espacio exterior es isotrópico".
