What does «intermitente» mean in Spanish?
- It is interrupted and restarted alternately every so often on a more or less regular basis.
Examples of use in Spanish: "corriente intermitente", "luz intermitente", "fiebre intermitente", "lluvias intermitentes".
- A flashing light located on the side of a car that serves to warn other vehicles that the driver is about to change direction. Example of use: "You should use the car's turn signal when turning".
- Electronic device that constantly and frequently turns on and off one or more lights.
- (claudicación intermitente) Pain characteristic of peripheral arteriosclerotic pathology, located in the distal muscle groups due to chronic arterial obstruction, generally in the lower limbs, which is triggered by exercise and disappears at rest. In Argentina it is known as the "stained glass window syndrome".
