What does «culto externo» mean in Spanish?
- Worship consisting of outward demonstrations performed by men, such as sacrifices, processions, genuflections, raising of hands, uttering words aloud, chanting, supplications, offerings and gifts, etc. It contrasts with internal worship, which is that which is performed by man within his conscience. The Christian liturgy requires both elements of internal and external worship, and that both be intimately united.
