What does «congestivo» mean in Spanish?
- Congestion-prone or prone to congestion. That is, obstruction by excess fluid, blood or mucus. There are a wide variety of congestive pathologies such as congestive cervix, pelvic congestive syndrome, congestive heart failure, congestive glaucoma, congestive liver, etc. All of these involve some type of obstruction by accumulation of some type of fluid in an organ of the body for a variety of reasons. Undoubtedly the most common congestive condition for people is that associated with mucus from a cold.
