What does «xanto» mean in Spanish?
- In Greek mythology, Xanthus, Janthus or Xanus is the name of an immoral horse son of the wind god Zephyrus and the harpy Podarge. Xanthus and his brother Balio were a gift given by Poseidon to Peleus and Thetis at their famous wedding. Later Xanthus would be inherited to their son, the famous Achilles, who held him in high esteem. Another version of mythology says that Xanthus was a gift from Athena, who admired Achilles' warrior skills. During the Trojan War, the Xanthus horse caused admiration to all who saw it, making it clear that it was a superior species.
