What does «trovero» mean in Spanish?
- Poet of the language of oïl, in the French literature of the Middle Ages. They differed from the troubadours in that the latter wrote in Languedocian dialect, dialects of southern France. The Oyl language, used by the troubadours, was a Romance dialect spoken during the Middle Ages in the northern half of present-day France. The first recorded troubadour was Chrétien de Troyes, who flourished between 1160 and 1180, while the last troubadours were seen around 1300.
