What does «tinacal» mean in Spanish?
- Indigenous name given to the cellar or closed or dark place where the pulque vats are installed for its elaboration. In these vats the aguamiel is deposited, which is the juice extracted from the maguey or agave, which is then fermented and pulque is obtained. During fermentation, it was customary to sing the "alabado", a religious song, in the presence of Catholic images.
