What does «solípedo» mean in Spanish?
- Perissodactyl mammals whose main characteristic is the termination of the limbs on a single toe, such as the horse, the donkey and the zebra. Also known as equids. Solipeds have one toe on each foot with a thickened, non-cleft toenail (as opposed to physipeds) that acts as a very strong protective sheath called a hoof.
Examples of use in Spanish: "el caballo es un animal solípedo".
"animal solípedo empleado como bestia de carga: el burro".
