What does «pindárico» mean in Spanish?
- Proper or characteristic of the Greek poet Pindar or that has similarity with the qualities of his productions. His poetry is characterized by a complex metrical structure, both regular and irregular; this makes it difficult to read his works. Pindaric work employed a complex language that mixed different dialects and made sudden and unexpected mental associations. This lyric poet is also remembered especially for his odes celebrating victorious athletes.
