What does «multicelular» mean in Spanish?
- Formed of several cells; also said multicellular. Said of organisms that have two or more cells, such as plants, fungi, animals, and brown algae; contrasted with unicellular organisms, i.e., those consisting of a single cell, such as protists, bacteria, etc. The multiple cells of multicellular beings differentiate to perform certain functions; they also reproduce by mitosis and meiosis.
