What does «liposa» mean in Spanish?
- A ferment found in the blood, specifically in the protoplasm of white blood cells, that acts on fats. Also called liposin (in disuse).
- Lipase: an enzyme produced in the pancreas that helps the body digest fats. A blood test can detect the concentration of this enzyme in the blood: if it is elevated, the pancreas may be damaged, irritated or obstructed.
Examples of use in Spanish: "la liposa se encuentra en todas las leches".
