What does «línea quebrada» mean in Spanish?
- In geometry, a line that is not straight but is made up of several line segments. Thus, the end of each segment is the beginning of the next, except for the last. If the broken line is closed by coinciding the origin with the end, a polygon is formed.
- A road marking consisting of a series of disconnected line segments painted between the lanes of a road, indicating that crossing from one lane to the other is allowed (to pass the vehicle ahead, for example). Note that this is not an example of the geometric concept of broken line of the first meaning.
