What does «inmutar» mean in Spanish?

To cause a thing to vary; to alter, change.
To impress or shock intensely for some reason, manifesting itself visibly in the countenance, in the voice, by gestures, etc.

Examples of use in Spanish: "se inmutó visiblemente al enterarse de la terrible noticia".
