What does «gliconio» mean in Spanish?
- A line of classical poetry composed of three feet. It is an Aeolic structure of Greco-Latin metrics whose creation is attributed to the poet Glycon (4th century B.C.). This verse consists of a base, a dactyl, a trochee and an indifferent syllable. Among the Greek lyric poets, the base is a random foot, of two syllables. In Catullus, it is a spondee or a trochee. In Horace, it is always a spondee.
Examples of use in Spanish: "verso gliconio".
