What does «fortuito» mean in Spanish?
- Casual, occurring by chance, unforeseen, unexpectedly. The difference between fortuitous and accidental is that the fortuitous is beyond human foresight, while the accidental is plausible. For example, the fall of a horse from stumbling on the road is accidental. The death of the same horse wounded by a thief's bullet is fortuitous.
