What does «facetado» mean in Spanish?
- Shape of those elements that are composed of several planes. The differences in use depend on the element whose shape is described as faceted: (a) the outline of the polyhedral core, when it has multidirectional multifaceted lascings; (b) the front of the bevel (which is equivalent to the lascings on the edge section), when the lascings that constitute it are superimposed; c) the carved surface of the surface tools, when it is constituted by three or more facets and also the heel, when it is constituted by the intersection of three or more negative lascings corresponding to previous extractions, that is to say, when the percussion surface of the core is constituted by several planes; d) the percussion platform that consists of a retouched surface, in such a way that the shape of the flake to be detached is predetermined.
