What does «confíteor» mean in Spanish?
- Latin word that begins the prayer said at Mass and confession in the Roman Catholic rite. It means "I confess". It is a confession of sin on the part of the individual. It is in the Micrologus (Bernard of Constance, died 1100) that the use of the confiteur is first cited as part of the introduction to the Mass.
