What does «compresibilidad» mean in Spanish?
- Property of bodies that can be compressed.
- Property of gases that consists in their ability to decrease in volume. Solids cannot be compressed and liquids very little. Compressibility is a property of all gases. The molecules of gases are very far apart (they have little cohesion, little force of attraction), there is a lot of empty space between them. If it is compressed, this space decreases and, therefore, its volume decreases.
- Quality of something compressible or compressible, which can be compressed.
