What does «botamanga» mean in Spanish?
- A fold at the lower ends of pants. Depending on its type, it is used to shorten a pair of pants, for aesthetic purposes or to prevent them from fraying. The origin of the trouser cuff seems to date back to the end of the 19th century, where the monarch Edward VII had to roll up the bottom of his pants to prevent them from getting wet.
