What does «atarraya» mean in Spanish?
- Round net that is thrown by arm strength in river or sea fishing; also known as esparavel, tarraya, rail, ray, chumbeira or albitana. It is cast by a single person from small boats or from land, as on docks and beaches, to catch small and medium-sized fish. Its circumference usually has a diameter of 1.4 to 4 meters, with a depth of 2 to 3 meters.
