What does «Apia, via» mean in Spanish?
- Ancient Roman military road linking Rome to Alba Longa, from where it continued through Capua and Beneventum to end at Brundisium (Brindisi). It was called "the queen of roads" (regina viarum), and was begun by the censor Appius Claudius the Blind in 312 B.C. It was carefully and solidly built; paved with hewn stones bound with cement, it had an average width of six meters.
