What does «acápite» mean in Spanish?
- Separate paragraph; usually used in legal texts.
- Title, chapter, epigraph of a text.
♦ Used in: Argentina - Colombia - Cuba - Heading; short text after the title indicating the content of the following text.
♦ Used in: Uruguay - Each of the units into which a text is separated; chapter, clause. Especially of laws, treaties, contracts, etc.
Examples of use in Spanish: "cabe precisar que el acápite H del artículo 32 del reglamento del Congreso dice que...".
"como lo estipula el Artículo 8 acápite 7 de la Constitución dominicana".
