What does «abubilla» mean in Spanish?
- A genus of insectivorous bird of the family upupupidae, characterized by its graceful appearance, beautiful crest and peculiar cry to which it owes its scientific name. It is found in central Africa as well as in Europe and southern Asia. The common hoopoe (Upupa epops) is about 30 cm long; its plumage is a fine mixture of white, suede and black; on its tawny head is a huge erectile crest, whose feathers are tipped in black, beyond a narrow white line.
