What does «usía» mean in Spanish?
- Syncopation (deletion of one or more sounds within a word) of the word "usiría", meaning "your honor". It is a respectful form of address, currently in little use, for the second person singular.

- Form of treatment used for army colonels and naval captains.
Examples of use in Spanish: "¡a las órdenes de usía, mi coronel!".
- A form of address that in Spain is also given to judges in official writings, but also to other authorities such as mayors. Even the magistrates of the Judiciary and the Public Prosecutor's Office were addressed as "usía ilustrísima", in this case no longer in use.
