What does «pasterela» mean in Spanish?
- A bacterium of variable virulence, sometimes very energetic, which causes various septicemias in animals. Pasterella (Pasteurella) is a genus of Gram-negative, facultative, anaerobic bacteria. Pasteurella species are immotile and pleomorphic, and often have bipolar spots ("safety pin" appearance). Most species are catalase and oxidase positive.
