What does «derechohabiente» mean in Spanish?
- It applies to a person whose rights derive from another. For example, the rightful claimants are minor children and incapacitated adults. This term is usually used to refer to the heir of a person and, consequently, beneficiary of the indemnity rights established in a policy.
- A person who benefits from certain social benefits because he/she is linked to a social insurance: - Family relationship (descendant, ascendant, consanguineous). - Community of life.
