What does «alunizar» mean in Spanish?
- Landing of a spacecraft on the surface of the Moon or descent of one of its occupants to the Moon. The Soviet Union's Moon program (between January 2, 1959 and August 9, 1976) succeeded in landing a human artifact on the Moon for the first time. The Apollo program of the United States landed spacecraft with people on the Moon for the first time in 1969 until 1972 (six manned landings in total).
