What does «abducción» mean in Spanish?
- In anatomy, abduction or separation is the movement of erection of a part of the body with respect to the plane of symmetry -sagittal- of the body. It is therefore a movement in a transverse direction. The opposite movement to abduction is adduction (the movement towards the midline of the body or approaching it). Abduction is a movement by which a limb or other organ moves away from the midplane of the body.
Examples of use in Spanish: "abducción de los brazos".
"abducción del ojo".
