Once this agreement was reached, the aldermen went to the main balcony of the building and from there they communicated the resolution to the people, who approved it with acclamations from the square. Shortly afterwards, the Cabildo received from the new governors the oath to carry out their duties legally. Finally, Saavedra exhorted everyone to maintain order, union and fraternity.
