In the upper box of the painting representing the sky, suns are depicted; inside one of them is a bird, reproducing the Chinese legend that tells of the existence of ten suns that once roamed the skies guided by birds; but because one day they all came out together and burned the vegetation, the emperor ordered his archers to shoot down nine of them, leaving only one to illuminate the earth.
