What does «ulpo» mean in Spanish?
- A kind of mazamorra or poleada made with toasted flour dissolved in water or milk, cold or hot, usually sweetened with honey. It is used as food by Indians, miners, mountaineers and explorers due to its high caloric value. If this mixture is made in hot water, it receives names such as "pavo", "cocho" or "chercán". Some also incorporate alcoholic beverages, especially wine, this mixture is known as "chupilca" or "cupilca".
